About Noir

Noir, inside and out
Noir seems like your average popular club. The outside of the building is discrete in that aside from the sometimes long line and the bouncers at the door, you may never know it was a club. The music doesn't pulse through the brick walls, only through the entrance when people go in and out. A sign? It's a fairly small one above the entrance, lit up or not it is easy to miss when looking at the building.

The main floor holds a coat check right inside, a bar, tables and chairs, a DJ, an open dance floor, and naturally bathrooms. The lighting is dim, the music is loud, and the people have fun. After all, that is what a night club is for. On either side of the dance floor there are spiral staircases to the second floor. While they may look like wrought iron to most, they are in fact steel, as iron isn't that great for a Fae. There is also a door on the far wall from the entrance that houses a door and one lone man standing guard.

The second floor holds more tables and chairs as well as several couches against the walls. While the music is still heard, it seems dampened somehow which makes it a little easier to hold a conversation or just spend a little quite time with that sweetie you are out with. The balcony rings the dance floor so you can watch all the people dancing from up high. And again, while it looks like fancy wrought iron, the metal is steel.

Against one wall is a small staircase guarded by one or two men, the number really depends on who is using the third floor that night. If you are one of the lucky few that can make it past the two men, you'll find a very posh VIP room, with none of the noise from the club outside the room's walls. The theme in which the room is decorated in changes weekly and at the owner's, Jamie's, whim, unless someone has specifically booked it. It isn't usually booked, and so it is generally populated by whoever happens to be the best of the best in the small town of Mayham and the surrounding cities. As well, the room has it's own set of girls that cater to anyone's drink orders so they don't have to leave.

Remember that lone door on the far wall from the entrance on the first floor guarded by one man? That man is the only Fae hired in this club, and so low on the Court hierarchy that he won't be missed if he's at the club every night. As low as his status in Court may be, his nose is the best in the Courts, and possibly town. Whatever it is that makes the supernaturals different from humans, he can smell it as though it were an expensive perfume or cologne. His job is to make sure that only those of the supernatural variety get past that door behind him. The door leads to the two lower levels of the club. The lower levels have everything and anything a supernatural being may want, except in a vampire's case. It's B.Y.O.M. Bring your own meal. The one thing that the club doesn't have on tap is blood, but then Jamie really isn't fond of bottling the stuff. She can't possibly see how it's good if it isn't fresh. So, the only way for a human to be allowed into the lower levels is being escorted by a vampire. Basically for these levels your imagination is the wall to what is contained here, and if you decide there's something missing, have your character talk to Jamie and she'll add it post haste.

Noir's Rules

  1. The club is a neutral zone. No pack wars, clan wars, or any other kind of fighting on the premises. Generally she's more concerned about the supernatural kind, but doesn't cast a blind eye to human fights either.

  2. No open displays by supernaturals of what they are on the three human populated levels.

  3. No feeding on humans anywhere except the lower levels.

  4. You kill it, you clean it up. Letting a vampire feed on the premises, there's always the chance of drinking too much. If that happens, it will be your responsibility. Even if Jamie has to track you down and leave the dead body on your front porch for you.

  5. The staff at Noir, be it supernatural or human are considered hers, and as such are off limits to kill. Killing staff members will bring pain like you've never imagined down on you, and yes she can track you. She's got magic to do it for her.

Feel I missed something or you aren't sure about something for the club? Ask it here.
